I was LJ jumping (clicking on link to link to link), as I do occasionally, and came across a completely valid point someone made about The Avengers.

For the first time in forever, I'm in a fandom where, when someone expresses a very real concern about being jossed, they're actually using it in the correct context.

Ah, Joss Whedon, you're an evil character-killing bastard, but you still own part of my soul.

Also, I'm kind of tempted to wear my Jayne hat when seeing The Avengers just to see if anyone gets the link.

I have been laughing over this for months and months.

When I'm not snickering and saying, under my breath, "Kenneth Branagh's Thor", which will never stop being hilarious.

The daft thing is, I've seen people talk about being jossed by the movie and it still didn't occur to me. I'm going to blame my current obsession with Clint Barton for that one. Mind you, I've been blaming my current obsession with Clint Barton for most things recently, so that's not new ::grin::
