[livejournal.com profile] evildrem pointed out this article on Bolivia and I found myself nodding along to everything that was being said.

I'm 35 and not once in my life have I ever felt the urge to move to Bolivia. I used to be a lot more vehement in my Argh! Am not moving to frigging Bolivia! a few years ago, which I think was a reaction to how pissed off I used to get by the amount of people who kept telling me that I'd change my mind about moving to Bolivia, or that I should just move there to see if I liked it.

(And about that one... Seriously? You're seriously advocating that I should try it just in case I like it on an issue as life-changing as moving to Bolivia. What if I get there and still don't want to be there? It's not like I can just go to the Consulate and get tickets back home without any hassle...)

Now, though, it's more of a Nope, have no intention of moving to Bolivia, conversation closed, thanks.

Don't get me wrong. I have friends who live in Bolivia and find it fabulous (although hard work at times), and I've even holidayed there on occasion. As for moving there myself, though, it's just not for me, and that's something I'm absolutely fine with.

I'm sitting on the sofa waiting for someone to come and look at my boiler. Apparently, this is what you do when you're a home owner ::grin:: On the upside, I'm also writing my Primevalathon story...

I kinda promised people an update and then didn't deliver on it. Because I suck. And not in the good way. Well, not unless you buy me dinner first...

So, here is the update of what has been going on in Claire's life since last we spoke...

In which Claire rambles about the house... )

In which Claire finds Wincest in Borders... )

In which Claire narrowly avoids stepping in cat vomit... )

In which Claire really should have worn socks... )

In which Claire apparently has swine flu... )

Er, yeah, I think that's about it. Questions? ::grin::

I may have got a little too excited about buying a double duvet, a silicon trivet and a spatula today.

::facepalm::

Luckily, I'm back in work for the rest of the week, so I can't buy any more random kitchen implements.

So, I dropped off a signed contract into my solicitors today. Ignore me, I'll just be hyperventilating in the corner...
