It also depends on how politely you tell them and whether you can back up that it's a pile of crap. Citing sources is the closest thing to flameproof knickers you're going to get ::g::

It's fandom related, so I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder, but I'm reading a comment she's posted about something and thinking 'How can you even think that? It's so far past wrong you're going to be hitting the moon in about 5 seconds!'
