Dude! I vacuumed...

lost_house and I have spent the day clearing out my Mum's bedroom (which I've pretty much avoided doing since she died, until Seph and Tem basically said 'Right...').

So far, there's been eight large bin bags to the PDSA charity shop (with more to go), and three bin bags of stuff thrown out (with more to go when the bin's not full).

We're off to Ikea tomorrow for shelves. And then it's another day of doing stuff, and shifting many of the piles of books onto actual shelves, whoo!

Also, I may actually end up with a bedroom where there's more floor space than just the walkway from the door to the computer to the bed ::grin::

Mum's room (I guess that should be the spare room, now) is pretty much done - although I'm actually considering painting it. There's still loads to do, though. But I'm getting there! ::g::

Strange as it sounds, I think leaving it this long has had the positive effect of giving me the distance I needed to do this without crying every five minutes.
