I feel so old...

At work today, a member of my team mentioned that she has three turtles and is considering getting a fourth one, and said that she was thinking about naming it Hercules.

Cue me going, "But, four turtles? Didn't you at any point think: Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Raphael and Donatello?"

Cue her looking at me with a blank face.

Cue another member of my team asking if she knew who the Ninja Turtles were, and her response was "Nooooooo..."

Like I said, I feel so old.

Bah.

I know how you feel. Two summers ago, I cracked a Bill and Ted joke in front of two younger friends of mine (both tens years+ younger) and they didn't get it.

So I explained about this old movie Keanu Reeves was in and they literally asked me if I was telling the truth or did I just make that up to tease them.

(but this is also the friend who'd never see "The Blues Brothers" or "The Goonies" somedays, she makes me weep)
