I thought I'd do that OTP meme that [livejournal.com profile] doyle_sb4 did a couple of days ago. 'cause it looks amusing.

1. List your favourite fandoms
2. People guess what your favourite 'ship is from each
3. Strikethough the correctly guessed with a sentence about why they're your favourite

So, here are my fandoms:

1. Stargate: Atlantis McKay/Sheppard, because, damn, these two have chemistry. They bicker, they snark and they generally act like a married couple. And they are so much Teh Prettah it's not even funny.
2. Angel Angel/Wesley. Wesley goes from faithful servant to friend to betrayer to saviour, and no matter how much either of them want to break away from the other, they just can't. Because Angel can't have perfect happiness unless Wesley's back with him. Because Angel is the only one who can accept every part of Wesley with no questions asked. Because the last look they give each other in 'Not Fade Away' has more emotion behind it than any other I've seen either of them give.
3. Buffy Spike/Xander, because, and I quote "I'm not sleeping with Spike, but I'm beginning to think you are!"
4. The X-Files Mulder/Krycek. Damn, what can I say about my boys? It's the entire love-hate thing, the 'I hate you, but I will gleefully throw you to the floor and fuck your brains out'. Mulder doesn't want to want Krycek, but he does. CSM is the one Mulder blames for it all, but Krycek was the one who was there. *Alex* killed Mulder's father, *Alex* stopped him from getting to Scully on Skyland Mountain, *Alex* was the one he trusted and the one who turned on him. And Alex had a link to Mulder. Krycek is a trained assassin. He's a deadly son of a bitch, who makes no bones about the fact that the only side he's on is his own. But when Mulder comes into the equation, it all goes to hell. Alex helps Mulder, even though everything you think you know about Krycek says he shouldn't. And he does that for a reason. It's like their entire relationship is a scab that they both can't stop picking at. It'll only heal if they leave it, but they just can't. Um, it was onl;y supposed to be a couple of sentences, wasn't it *grin*
5. Stargate: SG-1 Jack/Daniel, which is so totally a hold-over from the movie. You've got this suicidal colonel who gets pulled back to active duty and who is assaulted by this whirlwind of a geek who just sweeps in. Even if it's meant to be Daniel/Shau'ri, I fell for Jack/Daniel the moment the transport rings came down and Daniel looked at Jack and said "Wait for me." Because Jack did. He factored in each eventuality and what might happen and he waited for Daniel anyway.
6. Xena Ares/Joxer. This is probably the one that's hardest to explain. I'm not really sure why this pairing works for me. I mean, there are so many canonical reasons why it shouldn't. But, it does. I like the thought of Ares and Joxer together. Joxer's a warrior, even if he's not that good a one, so Ares *is* the god he would worship. I don't know, I guess I'll just have to say that this is the pairing that attracted me when I came into the fandom, and just leave it at that.
7. X-Men Ororo/Logan. This is the pairing I have shipped from the very first X-Men comic I picked up. I support a lot of pairings in the X-universe: Kitty/Pete (Wisdom, *not* Rasputin), Jean Paul/Bobby, Charles/Erik, Logan/Kitty (what can I say *g*), Bobby/Remy, Ororo/Yukio, Logan/Kurt - to name but a few. But 'Ro/Logan? That was my first. And I still, with every fibre of my being, think these two belong together.
8. Battlestar Galactica Apollo/Starbuck, because they each allow the other to be more than what everyone else sees them as. To Apollo, Starbuck is more than just the womanising gambler, and to Starbuck, Apollo is more than just the commander's son. They believe in each other, they trust each other implicitly, and they complete each other.
9. Highlander Methos/Kronos, because my boys rode each other for over 1,000 years, and that doesn't just go away. Methos left and Kronos spent centuries tracking him down. Because when it all comes down it to, Kronos is the only one who understands Methos, darkness and all.
10. Smallville Lex/Bruce. Yes, I really this is a kind of cheat since Bruce Wayne has never actually appeared in Smallville, but it's still my OTP for this fandom. I will take Lex/Bruce over Lex/Clark any given day of the week. (Actually, I'll take Lex/Lionel over Lex/Clark, as well.) Because Bruce understands Lex's darkness, rivals it. Because where Clark seeks to change Lex, Bruce understands him.
11. Tremors Tyler/El Blanco! Because it's Twue Wuv!!
12. Firefly Mal/Simon/Jayne. This is a weird one, because there are so many pairings I enjoy reading in Firefly - Simon/Jayne, Inara/Kaylee, Mal/Jayne, Mal/Simon, Zoe/Wash. But, in the end, I gotta love my boys, and I just can't bear the thought of leaving one of them out *grin*
13. James Bond James Bond/Alec Trevelyan, because they have history and hatred and love and betrayal. And dammit, because the thought of Sean Bean and Pierce Brosnan naked and thrusting against each other is just too damn hot to ignore.

And I'll stop there, otherwise the list will just get huge *grin*

Some of these are obvious ones. Okay, *most* of these are obvious ones, but I thought I'd do it anyway ;-)
