Nov. 8th, 2004 11:50 pmThe inenvitable has happened. I saw it on the way home from work today: The first house with its Christmas lights up. Light-up Santa on top of the door, glowing reindeers on the walls, lights all over the house.
Why won't someone tell these people that gaudy Christmas lights at the beginning of November make the baby Jesus cry?
(Mind you, I'm pretty sure that guady Christmas lights at *any* time probably make the baby Jesus cry.)

Date: 2004-11-09 10:51 am (UTC)I *love* Sinterklaas (Dec. 5), I love the candy that comes with it... I don't want to see that candy in stores at the start of October, if not sooner.
This year I even heard a little girl exclaim in complete befuddlement at seeing the candy so early. This is just not right.
