So, I'm standing at the bus stop coming home from work and it's a) cold and b) looking like a desolate wasteland on the bus front. The water that's run down the glass on the shelter has frozen into funky trails and I'm seriously cursing the member of my team that cocked up some work and then bailed, leaving me to be in work nearly two hours after I should have left trying to fix it.

But, lo, all is not lost. For my standing at the bus stop leads to 'Amusing Things Heard at the Bus Stop, part 17,' which includes gems such as:

- Why did I cut my hair in the winter? My ears are now cold.

- I'm wearing one of my taller sweaters today...

- I should buy a hat. Well, no, I mean, I have a hat, but it has flaps. *pauses* I don't like flaps...

- Well, there's one thing that can be said about the snow. At least the sky's a lot brighter at night...

Also, it's snowing. Again. And I'm wearing a plastic tiara. I feel these things are not necessarily related.

So, I managed to get into work today, even though I stood at the bus stop waiting 40 minutes for a bus that's meant to be every 10 minutes or so. I was seriously considering going back home after the sixth bus went the other way, but nothing came my way. But then three buses all turned up at once. (I'm pretty sure the bus drivers planned this because they thought it would be funny...)

A lass I work with offered me a lift home so I didn't have to stand waiting for a bus on the way back, and we we had to climb over snow drifts as we walked across the car park. Cue me ending up standing in a snow drift up to my knees in my work car park. There was four of us going across the car park and we're all standing there pretty much going "Dude! Seriously?" as we sink in the snow.

And it's been totally snowpocalyptical with the thunder and lightning during the snowstorms. It's kinda cool actually: snowsnowsnow*flash*bang*snowsnow ad infinitum...

And the reports say it's going to get worse over the next couple of days...

In non-snow news, my [livejournal.com profile] deancas_xmas fic is going okay, and I'm just debating on whether or not to put the porn in. I've got a fade-to-black at the moment, but I may add in the porning if I get time after I've finished the plot side of it.

So, everyone else was posting their snowpocalypse pictures and I figured I'd do the same.

Today, I brushed the snow from my path and then watched as it started snowing again the moment I came back inside...

I also may have written 'Dean ♥ Cas' in the untouched snow on the garden and then was all :-( when it was covered up. But, under the snow, I know there's Dean hearting Cas, and that makes me warm inside.

It's snowing pretty heavily, large white flakes coming down from the sky, and I'm kind of sure that when I wake up to go to work in the morning the entire world will be covered in a thick blanket of white and a wolf will be eating the sun.
