Is it picky to be reading an e-mail from a family member and all the way through paying not the slightest bit of attention to what she's been doing recently because you can't stop thinking "Gods, woman, grammar!" and wondering if she needs you to lend her a few apostrophes, since she seems to have lost hers?

I know people who have apostrophes to spare, she says grimly, staring at the Pit of Voles. The sort that apostrophise (in the grammatical not declaratory sense) every s, just in case one might be concealing a word under its skirts.
