Seriously, we get it. Jack and Sam are, OMG, liek! *totally* meant to be together. Alternate timeline? Jack'n'Sam. Alternate universe? Jack'n'Sam. Doesn't matter what life experiences they've had, they're, like, connected on a deeper, spiritual level. One look across a crowded room and love is in the freakin' air. They're the SG universe's Romeo and Juliet. (Except, they're not from Verona. And Sam's not 13. And their families aren't enemies. And I seriously doubt if SG-1 is going to end in some sort of Jack-Sam suicide pact. Okay, so maybe that wasn't the best analogy, after all.) But still, no matter what, Jack and Sam are going. To. Be. Together.

Christ, they're like Scott and Jean out the sodding X-Men. And I hated that piece of star-crossed fuckwittery, too.

I'd like to think that the SG people don't all sit in a room and think "Wow, what story can we write today that will get Jack and Sam kissing / shagging / having (insert air quotes here) 'feelings' they shouldn't be having?" I'd like to. But seriously, I have a horrible feeling that's exactly what happens.

I have a feeling the amount of D/T fic will increase next season.

In fact, it's almost like the D/T undertones are becoming more canonical. I wonder if tptb are thinking 'Well, if we give them Daniel/Teal'c, they won't complain as much about the Jack/Sam.'

Hehehehe. I agree. Although actually, I don't mind a bit of onscreen kissage, as long as it's hot (like in Moebius II) and not romantic. Because I think Sam is pretty hot. And would like to see S/J/D/T. Or SaMcShep.

What *really* annoyed me was where in Threads, they totally ruined Sam's character - making her to be a fiance dumping bitch with no human feelings - just for the sake of their shippy agenda. Yes, I think shippers have taken over TPTB in force.

Enjoyed Moebius. Was silly but fun, and we got to see teamwork! With Jack! Yay! And lots of in-jokes that were funnier than they usually manage. But my head hurts trying to keep up with the number of Alternate Realities we've jumped through since this show started, not to mention SGA: Before I Sleep. I think it's pretty much official, we can put our stories in any damn AR we want to.

Thing is, I enjoyed Moebius right until the damn Sam/Jack thing. It was almost like the had a bloody check list.

"Humour? Check! Good plot? Check! Cameo appearances by people who have previously died? Check!"

"What are we missing?"

"Oh my god! The Sam/Jack! There must be Sam/Jack!"

I have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed Mobius I and II. I laughed out loud when Geek!Sam said that she fancied Daniel. Because, way to piss off the S/Jers *and* the J/Ders! But I was happy with the resolution (team moment) and I cheered the Geek!Sam and Jack kissing moments. Loved the way they got it on whilst under fire.

The way I see it is that TPTB wanted to make the S/Jers happy given that RDA may not be in the next season at all, AT will only be in half and MS will be the star of the show. I think TPTB thought that at least the MS fans will be happy at seeing so much of Daniel next season. Of course, for someone like me, who's a Jack girl, I shall really miss RDA. I really like Daniel but a season without Jack makes me sad.

OTOH, the McShep love is in full force and I suspect that's not going anywhere (given the chemistry between them). If TPTB do decide to pair either up with Elizabeth or Teyla, though, I shall simply go AU. I did it before in ST:Voy and can do it again. Especially as I don't see The Snark going anywhere soon. *g*
