Dear Yuletide writer:
Firstly, thank you, and I hope none of my requests made you regret getting me :)
I've expanded on a little about my requests below. If you don't know me (and I guess the likelihood that you would is minimal), then I hope this helps at least a little.
Request 1:
Fandom: Carrie Vaughn - Kitty Norville Series
Characters: Ben O'Farrell / Cormac
Detail: I'd adore something about Ben and Cormac's history together. I don't mind gen, but if you're a slasher and don't mind that they're related and want to write Cormac/Ben, I would love you forever.
I love the Kitty series and all the characters in there, but especially Cormac. I love that you're not entirely sure what he's going to do, but whatever it is, it's never what you thought. I adore his relationship with Ben and the way the only time you see Cormac close to losing it is when Ben is injured. I love the banter between them and the absolute trust they show in one another.
Request 2:
Fandom: Patricia Briggs - Mercy Thompson series
Characters: Adam Hauptman
Detail: Go wild. Even though they aren't mentioned as characters here, I love Warren and Kyle, but Adam in any way, shape or form will make me happy :) (Adam/Warren/Kyle slash would make me ecstatic, though ;)
Again, the Mercy Thompson series is one where I love all of the characters, but Adam makes me grin. (Werewolf fetish, whatever makes you think that?) Even though I've said that Adam/Warren/Kyle slash would make me ecstatic (and it really, really would), I was serious about the Adam in any way, shape or form would be fabulous. Adam gen - the day-to-day running of the pack, dealing with Jesse, the alpha of the Tri-Cities going for coffee, it's all good. If you lean towards the het side, then I love Adam and Mercy's relationship. I love the snark, the trust, the way both of them have no doubt that the other is going to be there if they need them to be.
Request 3:
Fandom: Jim Butcher - The Dresden Files
Characters: Harry Dresden / Thomas Raith
Detail: Harry and Thomas. Gen, slash, anything :)
Much, much love for The Dresden Files. Thomas is a White Court vampire and I can't see that having no effect on Harry, especially when they were living together. But, if you're not a slasher, then anything involving these two and any other Df characters you'd care to include would also be wonderful. The thought of Murphy thinking Harry's finally settled down, and if it's with a cute guy called Thomas, then who is she to judge, even as Harry protests makes me smile like a loon.
Request 4:
Fandom: The Chronicles of Riddick series
Characters: Lord Vaako / Richard B Riddick
Detail: Riddick/Vaako slash, of any genre, but preferably with a happy ending, would be fabulous :)
This is one of my 'Claire is amazingly shallow' fandoms because the thought of Vin Diesel and Karl Urban together is just incredibly pretty. I love stories that deal with a 'What happened after the movie?' scenario. (Generally in my head it's a lot of porn, but I'm easy ::grin::) What would Riddick do with the Necromongers? How does Riddick go from looking at the person who just tried to kill him and is now kneeling before him, to getting him into his bed?
In general:
Primarily, I'm a slasher, although I'm happy with both gen or het if your preference in writing doesn't lean towards the slash side of the Force.
I like first times, happy endings (or at least positive ones), character A realising they've got a thing for character B after getting jealous when character C comes on the scene, people being in love, people being oblivious about being in love, snark, banter, friendship, a good cliché (sex pollen! stuck in a lift!).
My dislikes are death stories and character bashing.
I think that's it, and hopefully you're not looking at this and thinking wtf?.
