My favourite piece of this year: Either Crazy Elephant Bones, Mechanical Love Song or The Covenant of Dean Winchester. Each of them has a distinctly different feel from the other two, and I love each of them for different reasons.
My best piece this year: I'm in love with how Tea and Scones turned out. It's been a good few years since I read Good Omens, and I wanted to catch the mood of the book in the fic, so I had great fun with all the asides in the parentheses.
Most fun piece: Probably AngelTV. I adore the idea of the angels being this massive family with squabbling and bickering and and the weird kind of relationships that most families have. When I first started writing this I didn't expect the angels to take such a big role, but I ended up having so much fun writing them.
Most sexy piece: For me, Because only you believe me and only you can set me free, because there's just something about Dean masturbating Castiel in front of a mirror. The most porny piece, though is probably The Lost Catacombs of Egypt, which was just an excuse to put Misha in the middle of a Jensen-Jared sandwich.
Piece with the single sexiest moment: The final lines in The Heavens Murmur Your Name:
He murmurs words against Dean's skin as he undresses him, fingers pressing into Dean's hip as Castiel's lips write language against flesh. Words not spoken in millennia, unheard outside of Heaven, sink into Dean's skin, branded into his soul by Castiel's touch. And when the final words have flowed across Dean's skin, a benediction written in fire, Castiel looks up at Dean, beaten and bloody and glorious, and finally, finally, takes him inside.
Piece that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: Probably Personal Jesus, which was the first time I'd written Dean/John, and made me buy into the ust between the two of them.
Biggest disappointment: At the beginning of the year I set myself a goal of writing 100,000 words, and I fell short of it by a considerable amount. I realise that there was a big gap when I wasn't writing due to the house move, but still.
Biggest surprise: Biggest surprise of the year for me was getting into Supernatural. This time last year I hadn't even seen an episode, and now Dean and Castiel own my soul and I like it ::grin::
Most unintentionally telling piece: Scarily, probably everything with a happy ending that outs me as a closet romantic ::grin::
Goal for 2010: I didn't hit the 100,000 words in 2009, so I'm going to attempt it for 2010. Which means I need to aim for about 8,500 words a month, or about 275 words a day. Best get started then...
