Dear nursery who sent an e-mail advert around our work today,

If you're advocating yourselves as a place of learning for young and impressionable minds, it might make more of a statement if your six rather short paragraphs didn't contain one spelling mistake, two grammar errors and one homophone.

If I had kids* and was inclined to pay £900 a month for your services, gotta say, that wouldn't have impressed me.

No love,

Me

* Although, I suppose I could always send the cat. Not quite sure how the finger-painting would turn out, mind...

I'm sure your cat would appreciate the chance to try, though!

Well, if they can sell paintings by elephants for thousands, I sure the cat could knock up a masterpiece or two ;)

Dear TyneMet who have your adverts in that annoying window place on the Metro thus interrupting my gaze out of said window: you are an academic institution, I would suggest someone proof-reading your text and spotting that you left the 'r' off the end of 'your' in one place would have been a good idea.

While it would make my eye twitch, it might also reassure me that they were in fact a nursery.

No one in childcare can spell. *sadface*

Y'see, that just makes me think that they probably shouldn't really be teaching children, in that case ::grin::
