Firstly on here:

http://eschergirls.tumblr.com/

Female (mainly) comic characters in poses that would break their spines, but that artists, apparently, think show off teh sexeh.

From that was a link to here:

http://www.progressiveboink.com/archive/robliefeld.html

The 40 Worst Rob Liefeld Drawings. I'm surprised they managed to stop at 40 because, if we're being honest, you could easily add another three or four zeros to that number and still have enough to keep going for seven more pages afterwards. Then again, anyone who doesn't know how much of a shitty little hack I believe Rob Liefeld to be hasn't heard me talking about comics.

It's funny, and then it's just kind of depressing when you start to think about it, so you have to go back to thinking about how absolutely absurd it is.

Well it's that, too, of course, but I figure I have enough negativity this week and I'll think about the deplorable state of gender equality some other week.

True ::grin::

The best link on there is the one to Jim Hines replicating some of the poses of female characters on book covers. It's kind of hilarious to read his comments :D

I felt for sure that his infamous Captain America would be on there, but that was probably too easy ::grin::

Have you seen this? This Needs to Stop (http://justsayins.tumblr.com/post/14957660366/this-needs-to-stop-and-let-me-tell-you-why) It's quite amazing how flexible that woman is. And she can't do the poses either.

Also, I have to admit that one of my most prized possessions is an autograph from Liefield. A friend got him to sign the panel from Youngbloods where Diehard punches someone in the face with his crotch. I'm not sure why it's not on the list, because it is really, really bad. (Seriously. Diehard is supposed to have punched a guy but for some reason, his crotch is pointing at the guy and his arms and feet are thrown behind him where they are apparently touching. It's bad.) And that's why I love it. It's so bad, it wraps around to being the most awesome drawing ever.
