I was LJ jumping (clicking on link to link to link), as I do occasionally, and came across a completely valid point someone made about The Avengers.

For the first time in forever, I'm in a fandom where, when someone expresses a very real concern about being jossed, they're actually using it in the correct context.

Ah, Joss Whedon, you're an evil character-killing bastard, but you still own part of my soul.

Also, I'm kind of tempted to wear my Jayne hat when seeing The Avengers just to see if anyone gets the link.

Please wear your Jayne hat when you go see The Avengers. We don't know each other, but if I see someone in a Jayne hat across the theater when I go see it, I will try to sing "The Hero Of Canton" at the top of my lungs to them. (Unless my companions suppress me like the Mad Hatter suppressed the Dormouse, which might happen.)

Ah, so the correct form is people dying (TV tropes list characters dying and fanon plots being overwritten). In this case, I'm actually not afraid of anyone dying. Seriously, I think Loki is the most likely to.lol Just, all the characters are so vital to the plot and future movies. Hawkeye is the only other one I can think of, or maybe Coulson, but Coulson is a fan favorite and the one tie between all (but the Hulk) movies and I feel like they're going to want to hold onto Jeremy Renner given his more recent rise to "fame".

Also, yes, wear the hat!!
