I'll need to be up at *what* time?!

Pretty much the entire still-living cast of BSG is signed up to appear at Memorabilia in August. Which means me making a trip down to Birmingham for the day. Now, I did this when Eliza Dushku appeared there a couple of years ago, so no big. Only, when I'm checking train times, it looks like I'll be on Newcastle Central Station at 4:30am. Which puts me into Birmingham at 9:40am. Ideally, I'd get the train that gets in at 8:40am, but for that, I'd be at Central Station at 2:30am.

I've had a look at hotels, and I was debating just getting a hotel room and travelling down on the Friday night, but weighing up a hotel room at £70 for the night, I really rather get up at stupid o'clock (or more likely, not actually go to bed. I mean, sleep? Pah! Who needs it!) and spend the cash at the event as opposed to giving it to a hotel.
