I didn't realise Paul McGillion played the younger version of Ernest Littlefield in SG-1's Torment of Tantalus.

Huh, you learn something new every day.

(Or, should that be, you watch an episode of SG-1 and then go "Bloody hell, that's Carson!" every day ;-)

LOL! I didn't know that, either. Darn. I almost wish I had that episode on tape so that I could see it.

*Really needs a Carson icon*

When it was on I wasn't really paying attention, and it was only when the credits rolled that I noticed his name. Cue me zipping over to the DVDs and whacking in 'ToT' *g*

I now feel very smug about knowing that. Apparently he was ina couple of X-Files too.

Although, admittedly, I ended up only watched XF for Krycek *g*

Hummm Carson every day... Now THATS something I'd very much enjoy;)

I decided I wanted to get all of Paul McGillions other work, but then realised its bloody hard to get hold of. And would involve buying season 1 of SG1 which I don't like very much.

For similar reasons I stopped getting DH's stuff, as I hated Scanners 2.

Frighteninly I quite enjoyed Scanners 2. Then again, I seem to have little or no taste when it comes to movies *g*

Or alternatively 'bloody hell that's Narim', or (unconfirmed) 'bloody hell that's that guy who was a really annoying scientist being a really annoying soldier a few eps later' (nope, can't remember either episode title, sorry)

Of course the queen of all of them is 'bloody hell wasn't Sam's dad a soldier in the film? possibly Ferretti?'

Does that mean that Paul's not Scottish? If so it might explain why his Scottish accent grated on me a little. Maybe.

*grin* He actually is Scottish. But his family emigrated to Canada when he was 2. They came back when he was 11 until he was about 14-15. If you hear him speak, though, it's a Canadian accent. You hear his normal accent in one of the behind the scenes things, if you haven't already watched them :-)

Nope! I'm working my way through the eps before I watch the behind the scenes stuff, Underground next (why oh why won't my husband go out and let me watch things?!)

I wanted to ask, [livejournal.com profile] mirelle719 was talking about trying to download all of season 1 on dial up! So I wanted to ask if you would mind me copying the discs you made and sending them to her?

Also, I was dumping the eps onto the laptop to stop the DVD player overheating as I watched and eps 14 and 15 won't copy and won't play from the DVD either. I can't remember the error message I got with copying (I just checked, it says: data error: cyclic redundancy check) but the play error message says that one or more codecs may be missing. Does that make any sense to you? I assume they play OK for you?

*grin* You could always chane the locks while he's out one day and not let him back in until you're finished *grin*

As for copying, not a problem :-D I'm all about sharing the Atlantis love ;-)

Urk about 14 and 15. All of them play just fine for me. Poot. If you're okay to wait a few days, I can send new copies down when I burn s2e3 this weekend for you. I can burn them as video DVDs instead of data DVDs and see if that makes any difference :-D

That would be great, thank you!

On Monday he goes away and takes Sprog with him for 10 days! Woo Hoo! (OK, my parents are visiting for part of that time) So I'll be all caught up by the end of that time.

ooh

I'm watching that tomorrow then!

So, that's yet another SG-1 character...

mm...

maybe... he was young, then stepped through the gate and spilt into two as he stepped into the path of a sun trail. The second him was sent into the furture where he landed in Scotland with no memory and was brought up by the woman he thinks of as his mother.

What?

It could have happened that way!
