It makes Mary (and quite possibly her evil show producing young chimey sweep friend), the baby TARDIS, the baby Jesus and me cry but it's happening all the same and when I get carted away in the lovely padded wagon and that jacket with the buckles in back I'll tell them it was you who enabled me! *g*

And then you get the episodes when the entire family's in there. It's like every guest starring actor is a Van Dyke. The world is full of Van Dykes and it's a scary, scary place.

I was talking to saffronra about it yesterday, she said she'd seen a bit of one in the week, I asked her which and she just said 'the one with Dick Van Dyke in!' And then we had to explain that he was in them all and that all his kids in the show were his real life kids, including his son Steve who was a regular. (I also got into a conversation with someone about how they should have a one off special for Steve & Jesse's wedding and they could bring Scott Baio back and I should stop now before it gets scary. ... More scary.)

And Mark could give Jesse away, because he's like a father to him. And the song they dance to will be some Celion Dion thing. And the cake will be three tiers. And Amanda will br bridesman. And everyone will cry when the doves are released, because Steve and Jesse's love is so right and good and pure.

And in her speech, Amanda would talk about how she knew about their pure, pure love, and she and Mark conspired to get them together and in the end they had to shut them in a hotel room together until they got with the program, but of course things went wrong and somebody had poisoned the gift basket that was meant for somebody else and Jesse nearly died and Mark had to single handedly save his life and on Jesse's presumed death bed, Steve confessed his feelings to a Jesse who he had thought was asleep and then they had the good, pure, right gay sex and it saved Jesse's life! Oh yes!
