SGA 2x05 - Condemned

Here's a question. In the opening, they have 'Paul McGillion as Dr Carson Beckett' and 'David Hewlett as Dr McKay'. Are we not allowed to know that McKay is called Rodney? Is there some reason they're leaving out the 'Rodney' bit. Is it eventually going to read 'David Hewlett as Dr 'I'm shagging Sheppard and you know it's good' McKay'?
Ooh, smarmy guy. Don't like him.
lol! Capital punishment snark *g*
Oh no! They're going down! (Er, and not in the good way which involves Rodney on his knees and John's fingers running through his hair.)
Teyla just called Sheppard 'John'. Am I wrong, or is this the first time she's used his first name?
Is it just me, or does the leader of the prisoners remind anyone else of Kronos? Hmm... I may like this guy *g*
Hee! "Hi folks. Hope I didn't crash land on anybody." You're not in Kansas now, John. (And a good job, too. Because if you were pinning Rodney to the bed and fucking him senseless would be kinda illegal.)
lol! "What am I, McGuyver?"
Ooh, Ronon looks pissed that they threatened Rodney. *plot bunnies start to breed*
"You suck at lying, Rodney," from John and "Suck it up," from Ronon. What is it with people constantly mentioning sucking to Rodney.
Ha! I knew not!Kronos had put the radio in there as soon as I saw him looking at them.
Hee! "I was beginning to think you were afraid to fight." "No, I'm just naturally lazy."
Whoo! Go, Liz!
*snort* Teyla breaking the stick over her knee and John trying the same with a thicker branch and failing *g*
I liked the ending. I liked the fact that John knew the Wraith would go to the mainland once it found the island empty. I don't think it's an ending SG-1 would have done, because it's basically condemning everyone on them mainland to die, even though the vast majority of them are innocent, and it's only the few who are in charge who made the decision to keep sending people to the island. For me, as an ending, that worked.

Date: 2005-08-14 08:01 pm (UTC)John has a crush on Ronan, which Ronan approves of. He needs to test John a bit more, to find out if he's a worthy Companion, or if he'll just make a pretty toy. (I.E., the comment about fighting, and asking 'is that an order'). He needs to know how competent a soldier John is, before allowing him to be more than a fucktoy.
He also knows that Rodney is The Genius, and therefore the asset that is least expendable. And because John and Rodney are so important to each other, if he wants John to be happy, he (Ronan) has to make sure Rodney stays in one peace. So he's adopted Rodney as the third - no testing required, because he isn't *supposed* to be a soldier.
But once Ronan tells John he (John) has passed, he (Ronan) will be taking in both John and Rodney and they will be a happy threesome.
This, of course, only in my world where Carson and Radek are shacked up. ;-) Or maybe Ronan just goes for "everyone in the unit is sleeping together" and Carson/Rodney doens't deter him at all.
