I swear, I read this ficlet the other day that basicly had Ronon missing his old military Master (in the dom sense) and when this bit came up, all I could think was 'But how did the (ficlet) author know *before this even aired*?'
As for Rodney and John... I think the only comparison I can really draw is the Xena series, where for years they were all coy about Xena and Gabrielle and then got to the sixth series and they clearly said 'Oh, fuck it, this is our last year anyway, let's just run with it.'
Watching this episode felt uncannily like that season.
