The advantage of Peg1 is that it will be SGA-centric. The advantage of the GateCon people is that they've had pretty much every SG actor going at one of the cons at some point.

I've been putting off booking for Pegasus 1 until I go to Galatica 1 the weekend after Connotations as I wasn't sure if they are any good or not, having never had the opportunity to go to a Wolf event before. But it's Atlantis so I rather suspect that even if it isn't, I'll still probably sign up ... I just need my back-dated payrise to be finally decided on and paid to me before I can do anything else!

Well, after having the most amazing time at G1 at the weekend, and seeing as a few fellow McSheppers are also attending *grins*, I booked my ticket yesterday :) I wasn't sure if it would be worth the £80 initially, having never been to a Wolf event, but if G1 was anything to go by it will be well worth the money!

I'm sure it will be even more fun as at least I will actually know some people at Peg 1 and will feel more able to let loose :) Nothing quite so daunting as being a somewhat shy bod with a large group of people who all know each other very, very, very well and said shy bod is there on her lonesome... Am most proud of myself that I actually plucked up the courage to ask a couple of questions on Sunday though *buffs nails*

I'm thinking of booking a hotel room for Saturday night even though I only live a few miles (but 2 bus rides or a £14 mini-cab ride) away as I would have loved to have stayed longer than 2.30am on Saturday. They seem to have better deals on the internet than the £78 quoted by Wolf or the Sheraton over the road is also quite a bit cheaper too.

Funnily enough the first person I spoke to was a fellow slasher (OTP Giles/Ethan) - that was a weird conversation as we skirted around the issue until we found out we both belonged to certain mailing lists :) Not an SGA fan though. She doesn't like my John's Rodney!!! The second person had never even heard of fanfic...

Anyway, cannot wait for February now :) I don't even care that I am now beyond the beyondest definition of broke!

Was weird but when she let slip she was on SENAD I felt I was fairly safe.

Had lots of fun explaining that I'd been to multimedia conventions before when asked if it was my first con by others and praying no one would ask for any more details :)

I look forward to hearing that story about how you and Tem met from one of you soon!
