Text!fic, yay!
From

John was wandering around the lab fiddling with things and pissing Rodney off. "What's this?" John asked, for what felt like the 40th time.
"It's a screwdriver."
"It doesn't look like a screwdriver to me," replied John. "How does it work?"
Rodney sighed a deep 'patient' sigh, "It's sonic."
From
temaris:
In his more generous moments he couldn't help but sympathise with Hermiod. After all, McKay *was* pretty irresistible in a faintly - deeply - annoying sort of way. Sometimes he almost felt like patting the little grey fella on the back and telling him that even if he caught McKay he'd probably regret it.
But mostly he planned increasingly far-fetched and gory ways how to quietly and untraceably remove an Asgard from this plane of existence -- or any other. Maybe he could talk Rodney into building him a small nuclear bomb. Something big enough to strap a 5 ft alien on without losing too much aerodynamic flow...
From

Rodney waited silently. The trick, so John claimed, of successful hunting was not to find your prey but to find somewhere to wait where your prey would come to you. And then to take advantage of surprise. He settled back in his chair and started work again. It wasn't about hiding. Hiding defeated the purpose. It might take time, but he was in no hurry. Hours later there was a stir of movement in the otherwise empty lab. And Rodney smiled.
