That and the ever wonderful opening line of 'I've never seen the show, but I've read lots of the fanfic...' If you haven't seen the show, then don't. write. the. fic. Because, odds are, you'll fuck it up somewhere.

But you can forgive a 14 year old doing it, because, hey we all did stupid things at 14 *grin* It's when a so called experienced writer does it that it just bugs the hell out of me. I also won't read the fic because the characterisation is mostly likely going to be a mishmash of a multitude of fanon concepts and very little of the actual proper character shows through.
