Picture the scene: I'm in the local Spar getting some stuff and my aunt has asked me to pick her up some foul and disgusting cigarettes. So, I get to the till and the following exchange occurs:

Me: Can I also get 20 Superkings black, please.
Possibly Blind Shop Employee: Are you over 18?
Me: Sorry?
PBSE: *peering at me* Are you over 18?
Me: O_o

I'm 31.
PBSE: Are you sure?
Me: Yes. *thinking 'I was there, you know'*

So, yeah, I got carded today. Admittedly I was wearing my hair in bunches, but still. I'm a little over the 18 mark by now *grin*
