Got bored! Answered the questions I saw in other peoples' 2008 writing roundups! Played lemmings! Went through the SPN Anon Kink Meme! Pulled out all the Dean/Castiel prompts with no responses! Considered trying to write a response to each of them! Decided against it when at least one of them made me O_o! Played Tetris! Played more lemmings! Found my passport! Decided to pull out Dean/Castiel prompts that had a response but I fancied writing anyway! Decided to abuse exclamation marks! Played more Tetris! Started to write angel!porn!

Questions Wot are Related to Fiction of the Fannish Variety

My favourite story this year: Seriously? Mulberry Bush. Dude, nothing says love like Tyler and an El Blanco plushie.

My best story this year: I'm insanely fond of how Five Weeks, Four Days and Twelve Hours turned out. So, either that or Fault Lines.

Story most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Standard Division. If just because I think more people should want the insanely angsty fucked-upedness that is Jamie Madrox being screwed by one of his own dupes.

Most fun story to write: Paint the Whole World, because it's nothing but innuendo everything could be completely innocent unless you look at it in. Just. That. Way.

Most sexy story:. Comparative Noise. What can I say, there's something about Rodney McKay on his knees...

Story with single sexiest moment: In my opinion? Shrapnel in his Skin, when Ronon wraps his hand around the back of Rodney's neck, because yes...

Hardest story to write: Shrapnel in his Skin. A lot of the story is in the unwritten white space, and it was a balance between not saying it outright, but saying enough so that people could see what was in the gaps.

"Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story: Er, about a quarter of the fandoms I wrote for [livejournal.com profile] mmom ::grin::

Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: Half Shell. I used to be all about the Leonardo/Raphael screwed-up, dysfunctional love for the Turtles, and now I'm all Donatello/Casey? Hmmm...

Biggest disappointment: That I didn't win the lottery... Fic wise? None, really.

Biggest surprise: I'd say that my flist are such a bunch of unashamed perverts, but really, that wasn't a surprise at all...

Most unintentionally telling story: Probably To The Heart Unhurt, because the undertones of the story are about growing up and loss and how you can never go back, and yeah...

Expectations and plans

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted? I wrote more than three times as much as I did last year which isn't really surprising, considering, but I didn't predict how much I was going to write.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2008? DangerMouse, Garfield, Pinky & The Brain, Rainbow, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Mr Men. It's all still [livejournal.com profile] mmom's fault.

Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them? ::thinks back:: Not really.

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year? I'm going to aim to break the 100,000 words in a year thing, because I want to say I did it.
