Ahem. Now I've calmed down I should probably explain the earlier outburst to people who have no idea what's going on. (Note the mass optimist in me assuming people other than those I'm actually seeing this weekend are reading this.)

There's a convention. Well, two of them actually - CultTV and SG-5. I was signed up for SG-5 because I've done all of the SG cons and JR Bourne is going to be there. (Yes, I'm a Martouf girl. And?)

And then we heard that about 30 miles up the road the CultTV con was happening over the same weekend. Not only that, but Dirk Benedict was going to be there. And since DB was going to be there, so were we {g}

The thing is, DB was the first guy I ever had a crush on. Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica and Face in the A-Team. Heck, the BSG thing is still with me, since I'm list owner of the BSG slash list. And now I'm going to come face to face with him. Eep!

Personally, I think I'll just end up standing in a corner, looking at him and meeping every so often. Tem and Lil both have differing views, since they've both told me they'll drag me over to him if they have to. But you know, it's *Dirk Benedict*. If I can get over that, then I'm sure I'll be able to speak to him without gibbering like an idiot {g}

Well, since you are travelling down today, I don't know if you see this beforehand. But go, have loads of fun, and *talk* to the guy. I'm sure he'll be just as happy to speak with his number one fan!

hummm... so this is where you are hiding :)
after about 1&1/2h mooching around the LJ universe i finally track you down, unsurprisingly through the list of clark/lex interests (ok, so part of that time was catching up on some other peep's LJ's too).

hope you managed to get through the weekend without needing hospitalisation for over-excitement.

He was so sweet. He took time to talk to everyone and have a laugh and a joke. It will no doubt be the subject of an actual entry, when I get around to unpacking and finishing checking my mail. {g} Note, my (still packed and not even opened yet) bag is dumped in my lounge and I'm straight online. Priorities much?

lol! They did. I kinda walked around the room he was signing in, not wanting to actually look at him, but I was dragged over. And I only bounced slightly... honest ;)
