What Claire Did At the Weekend

So, my weekend pretty much broke down into the following:

• Driving to beren_writes's house with alyse. The journey's kinda strange because it's motorway for most of the way and then the last 30 minutes, you literally take a turn off a roundabout and hit werewolf territory. Large hedges and tiny roads and doing it in the dark is seriously creepy, and I wouldn't have been surprised is a large wolf had pounced out at us at any point. (Well, I would have been surprised, truthfully. I mean, it's not every day a werewolf jumps out at you for no reason.)



• Christmas presents! The reason we were there was for Beren's annual Christmas party. It was on Saturday as December of last year was totally booked up ::grin::



• More sugar-based goods than anyone knew what to do with. Seriously, when fangirls cater, they bloody well cater.



• Tessellating fangirls. (There was an actual dry run of how people were going to sleep in order to maximise the floor space:people ratio, including people having to get up and shuffle around based on who generally gets up to pee in the middle of the night)



• Discussions of having a barbecue around the theme of a zombie apocalypse, which somehow evolved into the theme of zombie apocalypso, which is much the same but with more steel drums.



• Monkey pants! (Which, hitherto, render all other arguments invalid...)



• Being muchly amused by the fact that someone apparently guessed which Secret Angels fic I wrote for deancastiel, not by reading the story, but by the fact that I used ellipses in my summary. (Which also made me stop and go, well, actually I do use them a lot... ::grin::)



• The Secret Angels and deancas_xmas reveals both happened, which means I can now post my stories here and post my 'What I Wrote in 2010' list :)



• In conclusion: Awesome weekend was awesome :)

THIS. I love the idea. I can think of many points of my life that this would have improved.
