Revenge of the Chocolate-Eating Kitty from Outer Space
By Claire
"A blind date?" Giles blinked, looking incredulously at his Slayer. "You want me to go on a blind date?"
Buffy nodded.
"Why?" Especially since there was so much to do. An entire world of Slayers had just been awoken, and it was up to the group from Sunnydale to find the girls and help them understand what they were.
"Why not?" responded Buffy. "I mean, candles, good food, romantic music, hot waiters. What's not to love?" She paused for a moment. "Well, maybe not so much the last one, since, you know, *date*, but the rest is still good."
"Buffy, there is too much to do to waste time on frivolities."
"Giles, after the year we've had, frivolities are just what we need," Buffy countered, smiling.
Giles noticed the look of determination in his Slayer's eyes. "You're not going to let this drop, are you." He knew Buffy too well for it to be a question.
"Not until you agree."
He sighed softly. "Fine." Because the sooner Buffy got this ridiculous idea out of her head, the sooner they could get on with the important things.
"Excellent!" Buffy grinned, eyes sparkling at the look of resigned horror on her Watcher's face. "Trust me, Giles," she commented, a hand reaching out to rest on his arm, "it's all going to work out."
*
"A blind date? Will, are you insane?" Xander stared at his oldest friend, trying to work out if she was kidding or not. Much to his dismay the 'not' side was winning.
"Xan, ever since we got here you've been like a monk. Researching and tracking down Slayers is all you ever seem to do." Willow shrugged slightly. "Buffy and I thought it would do you good to take a night off, relax a little."
"And you decided that setting me up with a random stranger was the way to go about it?"
"Not exactly," the witch commented under her breath.
"Besides," Xander continued, ignoring the muttering coming from Willow, "unless whoever you have in mind has a pirate kink I doubt I'll be their type."
"Xander, believe me, you are exactly their type."
Xander stopped the pacing he was doing and looked over at the redhead. "Oh god, tell me it's not Andrew."
"It's not Andrew," she replied, holding her hand over her heart. "Honest."
"It better not be," he warned. "Because if I find out it is, I'll..." Xander paused, trying to think of something suitable. "Well, I'll do something really bad," he promised.
"Does this mean you'll go?" Willow asked, smile spreading across her face.
Xander was silent for long moments. "Fine, I'll go. But under protest," he added hastily. "And under extreme suspicion."
Willow just grinned. "Trust me, Xander, it's all going to work out just fine."
*
Xander stepped into the restaurant, looking around with some trepidation.
"Can I help you?" the maitre'd asked politely.
"There's a table booked, but I'm now sure what name it's under," Xander replied.
"And you are?"
"Xander," he answered, tagging on, "Harris," a few seconds later.
"Ah, yes," the other man's eyes widened slightly in recognition. "Your companion is already here. Please follow me to your table."
He turned and led Xander into the main dining area, weaving his way through tables, before they reached a small, secluded alcove. "Please be seated. A waiter will be along shortly to take your order."
Xander wasn't listening. He was too busy staring in shock at the man already sitting at the table. "Giles?"
"Xander?" Giles's eyes reflected the shock Xander knew was in his own.
On auto-pilot, Xander slid into the seat opposite Giles. "You know," he commented lightly, "when Willow said it wasn't a complete stranger she was setting me up with this wasn't exactly what I had in mind."
"It was Buffy for me," Giles replied.
"Makes sense," the younger man nodded. "At least now I know what the two of them have been whispering about over the past few days."
"Indeed."
Xander glanced around the restaurant as an awkward silence descended. He and Giles had spoken for hours over the past weeks about finding and training the new Slayers, and now, here, Xander couldn't think of a word to say. 'So, looks like Will and Buffy figured out the massive crush I had on you back in high school' just didn't seem like the thing to break the ice.
Concentrating heavily on the napkin in front of him, Xander only looked up when he heard the soft sigh.
"This is-" Giles broke off. "I should go. I don't know what they were thinking." He pushed his chair back ready to stand and the thought hit Xander that he didn't want the other man to go.
"I don't know," Xander said carefully. "They went to a lot of trouble to arrange this, it seems a shame to just leave."
Giles looked at him, thoughtfully. "I suppose there's no harm in actually having dinner now that we're here. Just as friends, of course," he added hastily.
"Of course," agreed Xander, a little too quickly. "Just friends."
*
Xander gasped as he hit the wall, sound swallowed by the lips covering his. The 'just friends' concept of dinner had gone by the wayside as he and Giles had given in to flirting, and then teasing, and then out-and-out fondling, and he just needed to get the older man's clothes off as soon as possible.
Giles broke the kiss to pull the door key out of his pocket and jam it into the lock, hurriedly opening the door and allowing them both to tumble inside, hands still groping.
"Naked. Bed. Now." Giles growled the words as they blindly fumbled their way into the bedroom, mouths all but fused together. Clothes pulled at until they gave way, the two men finally dropped naked onto the bed. Hand reaching between their bodies, Giles's fingers wrapped around Xander's hard cock, squeezing it slightly as he moved down the bed.
"Oh god!" Coherent thought fled Xander's body at the sight of Giles opening his lips and engulfing his cock in wet heat. Suction pulled at him and stars danced as every ounce of intelligence was yanked through his dick by Giles's more than talented mouth. "Guh!" was the only word available as Xander succumbed to the tongue coaxing everything from him. Arching up, he screamed as his orgasm hit him, spasming before he dropped back onto the bed, drained.
Giles moved back up the bed, fingers wrapping around his own hard cock and harshly stroking himself. Grunting, his body jerked as he came, spilling himself onto Xander's skin.
"I wanted that," Xander complained.
Swiping his fingers through the come on Xander's stomach, Giles brought them up to the younger man's lips. "You can have it."
Xander grinned as he opened his mouth, sucking Giles's fingers inside and cleaning them. "You realise," he said when Giles finally pulled his fingers away, "that Buffy and Willow are going to be gloating about this for weeks to come."
"I have a feeling I'll be doing some gloating of my own," replied Giles, wrapping an arm around Xander's waist and pulling him closer.
Turning to Giles, Xander placed a hand on the older man's cheek. "Yeah," he said softly, "me too."
And wrapped in the warm embrace, he closed his eyes and let sleep claim him.
End.
