Kittens!

A colleague at work may be adopting two rescue kittens. (Someone else has first refusal on them, and if they don't take them, then she's getting them.)

The names of the kittens? Clay and Jake.

Cue her wondering where the names came from as "they're quite unusual names for kittens..."

Cue me wondering if they've got siblings out there called Pooch and Cougar.

Seriously, whoever named those kittens has to be a Losers fan.

In my admittedly limited experience, a LOT of animal rescue people exhibit some degree of fannish behavior. Recent kitten litters at our shelter have had HP names (Harry, Ron, Potter), Lord of the Rings names and there was also a Mario litter with names like Yoshi and Luigi.
