I rang Suzy earlier tonight to enquire about happiness, house hunting and whether the care package of jelly beans and lego arrived, and I told her about the cheerleader!Lex snip that I wrote. I told her the ending, which sees Lex heading off to Clark's with the cheerleader outfit. There was a laugh and then the comment of "Thank god Spandex stretches." And then there was a pause and a snort and then "Oh god, so *that's* where Superman got the idea from!" Another pause, and then Suzy, in a serious tone, "Oh, this Spandex feels so good, and it's so practical..."

So, guys, you heard it here first, the reason Supes wears such a tight fitting outfit is because he tried on Lex's cheerleading outfit and liked it so much he got one of his own :)

I can feel the bunny forming already...
