I've just bought tickets* to go down to London for The Avengers premier on April 17th. There may have been actual flailing involved.

It's weird because, ever since I got the mortgage I haven't really done many cons**. There have been a couple of things like Expo and Collectormania, where someone was going and they were the kind of person I would have kicked myself forever if I hadn't gone (Chris Claremont, anyone *\o/*), but I've always had the 'Oh god, I now have a mortgage to pay' mantra running through my head. But for this I just thought 'sod it.' I want to do this, so I'm going to. Which means, on the 17th April, dametokillfor and I will be standing outside a cinema and geeking out.

Assemble? You're damn right I'm going to ::grin::

* Please note, these are trains tickets down to London, not actual movie tickets for the premier. If they had been, y'all would have heard the scream.

** I'm not including connotations in this list as, if I ever tried not going to that one, I think temaris and lost_house would physically bundle me out of the house and to the hotel in the boot of the car.

That's just...so cool. I have no idea how I'm going to remain spoilerless (of the movie's entirety) between the UK premier and when the US gets it. I'm just gonna want it all.lol

I know what you mean about the spoilers, though. When stuff comes out in the US before over here, it's too easy to get spoiled :(
