Because my version seems to be growing plot rather than being the funny pwp I was aiming for so please turn it into the fluff it was supposed to be:

It's well known (or, y'know completely made up) that killers will completely remove all their hair to avoid leaving forensic evidence. Well, SHIELD does something similar when it sends agents on more highly classified missions - like, for example, assassinations. They don't necessarily have the get the "full Fury", they have to be able to blend in with the crowds after all, but pre-mission prep includes the complete removal of all body hair... And being a conscientious handler, Coulson always checks Clint over carefully to make sure they haven't missed anything that could possibly compromise his agent (or does the shaving himself - as preferred).

(Bonus points if neither Coulson or Clint want to explain the whole waxing/shaving thing to Steve and instead convince him that Clint goes for interrogation resistance training or some similar excuse).

Clint and Phil are dating but taking the sexual aspect slowly - at least Phil thinks they are taking it slowly because Clint keeps backing off and Phil is a gentleman and happy to respect Clint's boundaries. Clint, however, is beginning to think Phil isn't actually attracted to him because Phil hasn't tried to 'overcome his reluctance' or been 'swept away by passion' because he thinks that's how things go...
