moonlettuce: (Tremors: El Blanco)
I would like, if I may, to tell you a story. This story started, as such stories are wont to do, in the past.

To be precise, it started one Saturday when our protagonist, a wonderful and spunky young thing, was sitting on her sofa, really rather bored. She had her mobile in one hand and the SciFi channel on in the background. And, playing on the SciFi channel at that precise moment in time, was an episode of a fantastically cheesy TV show involving an ex-NASCAR driver and a giant man-eating worm with prehensile tongues. And as the credits rolled, a thought crossed her mind. And as this thought crossed her mind, her fingers started to text.

One wonders what would have happened if, say, Babylon 5 had been on instead. Or maybe a nice rom-com. But we'll never know. For the fates themselves decreed that it should be Tremors on the TV. The fates themselves guided her texting fingers. The fates themselves caused [livejournal.com profile] temaris, the recipient of said text our heroine was busy writing, to gurgle in horror, shock and unadmitted intrigue and amazement as the messages fell into her inbox.

And from that moment, a new OTP was born.

Over the years out heroine wrote more (mainly via text), pimped her fandom (and came in second to the gay werewolves) and generally extolled the glee of a pairing that involved three prehensile tongues.

And she was listened to.

Slowly but steadily, others admitted the truth.

Slowly but steadily, others understood the love that existed between a man and his graboid.

Surely there was only one more step to take, one more frontier to breach. And breach it we did.

For no longer was our heroine alone. No longer was she the lone voice in the wilderness. Others came, flocking to her cause, her banner. They came with wonder, with glee. They came with joy and a spring in their step. But most of all, beyond all things, they came with a domain...

::grin::

So, yeah. At Connotations, a few people who shall remain nameless (eyes flist) bought me a domain name and webspace.

They did it because I've been joking about this for a while and, seriously, I should know better where my friends are concerned ::grin::

Which, I guess, is a really long way of saying: Twu Wuv, we're apparently open for business.
