Someone on scifibrain.com posted a list of the Top Twelve Slashiest Couples.

There's explanations behind each of them, but the basic list is as follows:

12) Kirk/Spock (Star Trek)
11) Simon/Mal or Jayne (Firefly/Serenity)
10) Cyclops/Wolverine (X-Men)
09) John/Rodney (Stargate: Atlantis)
08) Bashir/Garak (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)
07) Chakotay/Paris (Star Trek: Voyager)
06) Mulder/Krycek (The X-Files)
05) Clark/Lex (Smallville)
04) LotR Guys (The Lord of the Rings)
03) Angel/Spike (Buffy: The Vampire Slayer/Angel)
02) Jack/Daniel (Stargate SG1)
01) Jim/Blair (The Sentinel)

The only one I blinked at was number 10. Scott/Logan is probably the biggest slash pairing for the movie (even though it's blatantly obviously that Erik and Charles are ex-lovers *grin*), but where the comics are concerned, I would say not. Maybe it's more to do with the lists I'm on, but I would say Bobby/Remy is a bigger pairing than Scott/Logan is. Hell, Remy/Logan is a bigger pairing than Scott/Logan is *grin* And Bobby/Jean Paul is up there, as well. (Possibly because that one's canonical.)

Of course, I completely understand that my initial reaction of 'Only in the movie-verse!' is merely symptomatic of my entire gut reaction to Cyclops - which is, and will always be, "Eewwwww!"

McKay/Sheppard is lower than Chakotay/Paris??? WTF?

Die, Chakotay. Die!

The main advantage of most of this pairing is their age. I think SGA has the potential to beat them all. :D Although, frankly, I don't care; I just want all the stories that would imply. hee.

*these pairings*

sighs

I know how to use this/these, but I still make the error more often than not.

Yeah, I agree. The amount of McKay/Sheppard fics SGA fans are generating a *day* is amazing.

We shall rule them ALL!!!

I like your icon. :)

We're already the fandom that eats people *g*

Most likely only because of the age factor. Give SGA a few more years and it'll be number 1 *g*

Star Wars didn't make the top twelve? It was a *huge* fandom, based on a movie where one of the main characters for the pairing *died*.

Hmph!

Also, I like Scott. :) But my whole interest for Scott/Logan is based on the movies, not the comics.

My ultimate movieverse X-men pairing is Bobby/Logan. I mean, that scene with the beer? Whoa.

I don't remember that scene. Huh. :) I'm very excited about the next movie. :)

I like your icon, because it reminds me of my insane plot bunny : Atlantis as a prison colony, from where Rodney, John, Teyla and Ronon escape. They then become pirates. ;)

plot bunny

Your plot bunny reminds me of a plot bunny of my own. An AU where Caldwell got Atlantis and Sheppard got the Daedalus, then he goes Wraith hunting in a very Piratical way. The only thing is that I can't think up a good enough reason for McKay to be a member of the Daedalus crew, and if he's not there the rest just wouldn't work. pouts.

Charles/Erik for me. But that's possibly because I think both Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart absolutely *nailed* the characterisations. And it's also a hold over from the comics. I don't think you can be X-fen without believing in Charles/Erik even just a little.

I think the list is actually just one person's opinion. And therefore just as authoritative as your list, or mine. And for the record mine looks somewhat different...

As does mine, which has Methos/Kronos and Ben Fraser/Ray Vecchio in there somewhere *g*

And also, if she was going to go for Trek pairings, why leave out Picard/Q *g*

Wow. You're a Fraser/Ray V person... I've heard there were people like you but I've never known them before... *g*

Since I don't actual follow that set of comics, they actually made Bobby/Jean Paul canon? Not just we're dating but Marvel doesn't want you to know canon couple?

I read them in fanfic, which is why I ask.

Canon in the 'it's canon that JP is in love with Bobby' way.

The 'yes, we're a definite couple' one is in Ultimate X-Men, where JP just asked Colossus to the Prom and Piotr said yes *g*

I saw that article too!

And you're right. Though my fav slash pairing in X-men is Scott/Logan, I do believe it's just for movie!verse. I got into the comics after the movies, and only really The Ultimate X-Men... in which I don't see any C/W at all.

I like the way Ultimate are going with Logan/Ororo - which is actually a pairing I've shipped since first reading X-Men.

<-- loves me some Ororo ;)

Me too, but I'm thinking Ororo is using Logan. I don't think she's over Beast at all...

I know! I giggled at that one, too. It's like 'Here are nine characters. Pair them up as you wish...'
