The duplicitous nature of sausage rolls

You know packets of sausage rolls? The ones you put in the oven to cook? They lie! Lie, I tell you!

15 minutes at gas mark 7 the packet said. 60 minutes later and they're finally all cooked. Lies! Nothing but lies!

Okay, so there was 120 of them in the oven altogether, which was actually three packets, but that really shouldn't make any difference...

Actually, I think it does... *tilts head and thinks* I mean, for the same amount of heat, you have more mass, so, the heat has to tranfer to more mass...

I don't know how to explain it, but it does makes sense to me, that it would take more time.

It's like : you can't raise the temperature and hope the thing will cook faster. *waves hands* I just... I understand what I,m saying.

1. Why are you cooking *120* sausage rolls?

2. Why are you cooking *sausage* rolls, you're veggie?

PS You haven't ever written an academic type paper comparing slash and ... something official have you? 'cause I had this really weird dream where it got published!

*g* Yeah, I actually did know that. It's basic physics - increased mass and surface area means and increase in time due to cooking happening by convection.

It was just funnier to think of sausage rolls as lying little bastards...

*g* It's the 50th birthday of someone at work and we're doing her a surprise buffet, so we're taking bits and pieces in. I did the sausage rolls. And tehre were veggie ones, too :D The were only the little party sausage rolls, so it's not a bad as it seems ;)

lol! I haven't written anything like that. But if I do, I'll be sure to let you know ;D
