I can't find the answer in the FAQ, but does anyone know if it's possible to 'hide' the membership of a community? I mean, can you set a community's membership so that no one can see it?

I don't think so. In fact, I'm sure that I've seen someone ask the question before.

All I can figure out what to hide is the list of people watching the comm, which you do by deselecting the 'friends of' list under friends on the manage bio option.

Even if you could hide a list of members, I suspect you'd not be able to hide the list of people who had posting access to the comm, so anyone who is at all saavy would just look at that.

Doesn't look like it, hon. The advice appears to be that if someone doesn't want their membership to show on the com/on their lj then they should either not join or join as a sock...
