So, I've just bought train tickets to Stratford. The GNER website tells me it'll be £78.60 for a return. However, when I click the 'two singles may be cheaper', I'm offered two £13 singles (which I buy). So, it's a price difference of £50 for exactly the same trains. *boggles*

If you are seeing it in the RSC main house (I assume you will be, this is with Patrick Stewart yes?) you should keep an eye open for my sister. She works in the cafe/bar and does refreshments during the interval. Shes very gothic. All black hair, eyeliner and many earrings. Quite easy to spot. And I'm jealous that you get to visit my hometown when I'm missing it and stuck on the other side of the world *pout*
And trains in England are the most stupid things ever *hates precious*

I get that with travelling to Sheffield. Returns are in the £60-80 price range - singles £12 to £17. No sense. None at all.

When will you be in Stratford exactly? As I'm there August 1-3 to see King John and Henry 6s and maybe stand at the back for Tempest on Thursday afternoon.

My interest is less Patrick and more the new generation in the form of Lex Shrapnel - if you saw Thunderbirds he played John *G*.

We're there the last weekend of August to see The Tempest. In on the Friday and out on the Sunday, so a pretty quick turnaround :)
