Pirates... savvy?
Jul. 16th, 2006 11:14 pmJust came back from seeing Pirates 2 and I liked it, but I'm not sure if I liked it more than the first one. I adored the bit where Will and Norrington were fighting on the wheel. And Jack Davenport looked completely shaggable *g* It's a movie with a lot of very pretty people in it.
The ending totally reminded me of Empire Strikes Back, in its 'yes! you will have to see the third one now. bwahahahahaha!' tone.

Date: 2006-07-17 09:18 am (UTC)I've seen fans bitching that they liked him in the first one and its not fair that people come along now and like him for being a scruff. Oh noes! New fans for Norri! What ever next! They don't seem to get that he's all angst brood swig of booze scruffy sex now, and that kind of change in a character can make a girl go a little crazy in the pants department.
I can't seem to find anyone to come see the film with me on Wednesday. COme to London and keep me company!

Date: 2006-07-17 05:50 pm (UTC)It was different from the first one in that they did not spend any time introducing the characters, and went straight ahead with the roller coaster. That made the movie somewhat more chaotic, but once I got settled in that faded. It's made less for looking at the larger picture, and more for enjoying the moment. Which I did. *G* You really had to have seen the first one though, for knowing the characters and all the little ways in which they reached back to it. I loved the Governor and the candelabra.
...You did wait for the end of the titles, right?
