moonlettuceStarted off as a drabble. And now it's not. Funny how things work out. It's still short though, so don't get excited. Unless you want to get excited. In which case, go for it. It's all good in the end :)
Pirates! Savvy?
She's going to lose him. She sees it in his eyes every time he talks about Jack. As much as he likes to deny it, Will Turner is every inch his father's son. He wasn't made for Port Royale. Wasn't made for the political intricacies that come with being the Governor's son-in-law. Wasn't made for the parties and the ceremonies. And wasn't made for the snide mutterings of the supposed higher classes who know of his background.
So, if Will Turner wasn't made for Port Royale, then surely there's only one place he *was* made for.
So it seems like fate that the Black Pearl is berthed in Tortuga. Has been for days. And her message should have reached there by now. A formal relinquishment of her claim, as laid down by the Code. So there's nothing to stop Jack from coming. And Jack *will* come. Because Jack Sparrow needs Will next to him as much as Will needs to be there.
So Jack will come. And the Pearl will sail into Port Royale like she had so few months ago. Only this time she won't be firing cannons, though the treasure she will surely carry away is just as precious.
And maybe the Interceptor will come, too. She's heard the stories. Heard of how Jack and Anamaria are working together much more easily now. There's safety in numbers, she supposes. Even for pirates. Especially for pirates nowadays. Commodore Norrington has cut a swath through the pirates haunting the waters around Port Royale. Although it's strange how the Pearl always manages to evade capture, even though the Commodore has had her in his sights more than once.
Yes, Jack will come, and Anamaria will come with him. Anamaria. Elizabeth smiles. Anamaria, with the smooth skin and the soft lips. The smile widens as she looks at the already packed bag under her dresser. Maybe Will won't be the only one leaving, after all.

It always narks me whenever people get Will and Jack together by killing off/demonising Elizabeth. Just put her and Anamaria together *grin*
