So, I went to buy tickets for 'A Dog's Breakfast', and got told I had them. I had a confirmation e-mail in my grubby little paws inbox. And then I get this from the Wolf people:

Unfortunately your order for a viewing of a Dogs Breakfast came after the last ticket allocation was sold.

Due to the volume of people online simultaneously there was a small technical oversell, we apologise for this but it is beyond our control.

We cannot sell more tickets because of the capacity and the tickets have been allocated in the order of the Order Number from the store.

We are seeing what we can do but at the moment you do not have a ticket.

So, we had them, and now we don't and it doesn't look good. And I'd just booked a flight to fly down on Wednesday night instead of training it down Friday morning. Well, fuck.

Don't panic yet. Chances are good that there'll be another showing. Why would they waste their plane tickets?

Well, it's not a waste of a plane ticket since he's coming over for the Peg2 convention and the screening was an extra thing.

Yeah... the words aren't quite what I meant. More that there is nothing but benefit to them to make it happen - nothing but profit to the theater than can accomodate them - plenty of theaters in the area, even if the primary one won't do a double screening - and clear demand from the audience. In other words, I don't see any reason at all why there wouldn't be a second screening set up relatively quickly. And, if there is any justice in the system, those people with the cancellation emails would be first on the list to get tickets.

I know. But, seriously, not holding my breath. Oh well, you'll have to enjoy it for all of us.

I'll tell you all about it at the con. But then I'm sure most of people at the screening will be there, too.

*Hugs* Oh no, honey, how disappointing! *More hugs* I hope they decide to add a screening or something, and then give you who got screwed priority. That stinks.

I totally hope they get a bigger cinema or something, but I'm not holding out. Knowing my luck at the moment there'll be a second screening on the Wednesday night, which is when I'm due to fly down. Ah well, there's still Peg2 to look forward to *g* And Escapade!

Albatross Woman:

Well, it is an albatross, isn't it? There's no bloody flavor! Albatross!

Man with hat:

There's gotta be some flavor, I mean everything's got a flavor...

Albatross Woman:

All right, all right! It's bloody albatross flavor! Bleedin' seabird, bleedin' flavor! Albatross!

I mean my plane ticket's already booked for Friday morning and I completely missed this announcement and I wouldn't be able to change arrangements anyway and... well, *snifs*! :(

I'll hope for a second screening on Friday afternoon, but with my luck, if there is one it will be on Monday night. After I've left.

Well actually I was but I think sanity is prevailing.
