So, I went to buy tickets for 'A Dog's Breakfast', and got told I had them. I had a confirmation e-mail in my grubby little paws inbox. And then I get this from the Wolf people:

Unfortunately your order for a viewing of a Dogs Breakfast came after the last ticket allocation was sold.

Due to the volume of people online simultaneously there was a small technical oversell, we apologise for this but it is beyond our control.

We cannot sell more tickets because of the capacity and the tickets have been allocated in the order of the Order Number from the store.

We are seeing what we can do but at the moment you do not have a ticket.

So, we had them, and now we don't and it doesn't look good. And I'd just booked a flight to fly down on Wednesday night instead of training it down Friday morning. Well, fuck.

Yeah... the words aren't quite what I meant. More that there is nothing but benefit to them to make it happen - nothing but profit to the theater than can accomodate them - plenty of theaters in the area, even if the primary one won't do a double screening - and clear demand from the audience. In other words, I don't see any reason at all why there wouldn't be a second screening set up relatively quickly. And, if there is any justice in the system, those people with the cancellation emails would be first on the list to get tickets.
