I've just had an e-mail from Wolf, which I assume they're sending out to everyone whose e-mail addies they have. In it they say, "Wolf Events have received 2 emails from customers who believe their credit cards have be recently charged with unauthorised amounts from companies they have not purchased from."

However, there was a post on their boards which, I'm pretty sure involved more than two people saying they'd had dodgy charges as well. So, it looks like Wolf are only paying attention to the e-mails and not to the other people on their site who put their hands up and said, "Actually, me too."

I've sent an e-mail to them saying I got hit with it, as well and that there are others, not just the two they've had mails from.

I realise that people saying, you know, there's a group of us who have all had bad charges put on our credit / debit cards and you're the only link between us has to be crappy, but I've gotta say, I'm not best impressed with Wolf's reaction to this.

It was about £130 on mine, although some people got hit for way more. Like I said, most of the credit cards seem to have been sorted pretty much straight away so it's not that we're all "argh! chomp!" at Wolf, but their reaction has been seven shades of disappointing and almost seems like they're sticking their fingers in their ears.

::hugs::

I got an e-mail from them today saying that they're taking their site down for a couple of days to do some maintenance work. Which suggests at least that they've acknowledged that there is a risk and are doing something about it, if not that they've found a leak and are doing something about it.

But more news would be better.

I think they sent out e-mails to everyone who have bought tickets off them. I e-mailed them back to say that I'd been hit on my card, as well, and there were others and that the only common link was Wolf. The e-mail I got back was all kind of "Well, it's getting more common and you probably all use other websites together as well..."

I've not yet received any email from Wolf. Wonder why. Am also seriously considering pre-emptively cancelling my current card.

You won't be the only one, if you do. I think at least one other person has already done that.
