The Goo Goo Dolls

So, I just got back from seeing The Goo Goo Dolls in concert, and they were fabulous.

I've had cold since Sunday (fear my crappy immune system) and have been coughing up a storm, so my throat hasn't been feeling the best. But that's okay, I tell myself, I just won't sing. And I didn't. I mouthed and I hummed and did interesting things with my fingers.

And then John Rzeznik, bless his lovely tight black jeans, played that chord and sung that fatal opening line.

And I'd give up forever to touch you...

Yeah, like I was going to be the only one in the building not singing Iris. Dude! Seriously, he held the mic out for the chorus and everyone just sang and it gave me shivers. But I'm in love with that song anyway ::grin::

So, yeah. Tonight? Fantastic. My throat? Not best impressed with me at the moment. Me? Sailing on a cloud...

and now I'm swooning, imainging being in the same room as John Rzeznik. Not to mention changing my iPod to Iris. ;) Glad you had a amazing time, still deadly jealous.

I'm feeling much better than I was yesterday. Although, saying that, I'd still have gone even if I felt like total crap ::grin::
