So, tickets for Hamlet at the Novello went on sale today. And then proceeded to sell out faster than the time it takes Jack to get nekkid. They're now pointing people to Ticketmaster's GetMeIn, where tickets seem to be somewhere in the £200 - £500 range.

Each.

O_O

So, if I *ahem*lost*ahem* the tickets and then bought David Hewlett and Joe Flanigan went on a first class round-the-world cruise, y'all wouldn't be suspicious, would you?

g,d,rlh...

You knew this would happen and had plenty of opportunity to buy a few extras while you could.

No sympathy. *g*

I so should have! Seriously, I could have undercut the other sellers by half and still made, like £200 profit per ticket! ::grin::

Only if I'm allowed to cancel Connotations and run away on the proceeds. Currently I might make it to, let me see, Southern Spain ...

Um.

I've come to the conclusion that it's best just not to look, have to say I was incredibly tempted to seel my Ewan McGregor Othello tickets earlier in the year when they were going for £100-200 but these price O.o

My head normally knows it's best not to look but I just can't resist it ::grin::

The prices are very O_O, although still less than that pair on eBay for Stratford that apparently went for about £2,000. (Or so I heard, not sure if it's true, although, I can actually believe it now...)

It's slightly frightening, moreso because they were going for those prices even before the London run was publicly released!

I love David Tennant and this Hamlet is a great play but I can't imagine paying £2000 for a pair of tickets... or even £500 really!

"faster than the time it takes Jack to get nekkid" - wow, scientists can measure timespans that small now? *is impressed*

Also, if you *ahem*lose*ahem* the tickets and then go on a first class round-the-world cruise buy David Hewlett and Joe Flanigan, I want pictures. *winks* *G*

This just makes me wish we had proper regulation of ticket touts. Grrrr.

Hope they are also pointing people at the RSC's website so they can see where the seats are before they lay out that much cash.

Srsly if you do have spares then I'm sure we can find buyers from your friends list or through the RSC as it will pay you back and then sell to someone prepared to work hard to get their ticket by queuing for returns.

The likelihood of me actually ever having spares is minimal, as I think it would take something pretty major to stop one of us from going.
