So, y'all remember how here I said that I was getting a giant African land snail?
Well, I now has said giant African land snail!
Although, if we're being honest, at the moment he's more of totally diddy African land snail...
I got him last Monday, and he's spent the past week buried under the peat in his tank. I only knew he was alive because he kept being buried under different parts of it with only the tip of his shell showing through. But today! Today he was nomming cucumber - which meant I did what I normally do whenever the cat stays still for more than thirty seconds, and got the camera out ::grin::

Fear the iddy biddy diddyness...
He will, however, get bigger.

Date: 2008-09-22 11:16 pm (UTC)I also spent the day watching Criminal Minds and I may, at one point, have pointed to the TV and gone, "Look! That's who you're named after..."

Date: 2008-09-23 08:33 am (UTC)He's very cute. One of the clergy at work used to have an African land snail. I say used, he probably still does but he moved away so now we're back to the terribly average cats and dogs.

Date: 2008-09-30 02:54 pm (UTC)I have always wanted giant African land snails. I will have to get some for Jamie. He can stick googly eyes and stars and stuff on the shell. (What, it's not mean, it's not like it can see its own shell...) Apparently, they enjoy beer, did you know this?
But dude, I hope you haven't been scammed ::eyes iddy biddy not at all giant snail dubiously::
Although he's cute either way. And one of the first foods Bean tried was cucumber, I have some incredibly cute pictures of him nomming, too!
When he's bigger, will you bring him to the [next] con? :D
