this sounds very exciting and i am very willing to give it a try. Is it ok if I am a novice like never before done???

if so I am incredible dull witted with all this and someone was nice enough to explain to me what to do . Wanted to ask first. I have always written stories from when i was a kid , didn't know it was fan fic then, bubble gum stuff really. Is it ok to ask for maybe another first timer to pair up with I know it's secret but this way i won't ruin anyones secret Santa and this is soooo cool !!, Thanks in advance Mare

sga_santa is open to everyone, including people who have never written a story before, so long as they understand that this is fic exchange and they will be asked to write a story in return for getting one.

As for pairing you up with someone, that's not something the comm would do. If two people put requests in, but only write one story between them, that means that someone else in the exchange has to write two stories - one of each of the two people who paired up.

If you had someone you wanted to write with, that's fine, but you would only be allowed one request on the comm and not one each.

Hope that clarifies things somewhat.

sorry i didn't make myself clear. I am excited i can do this even though i have never written before I am really looking forward to it. that part I got. i thought maybe I should/could be paired with someone else who has never written a fic before is all i mean if anyone lets you know that !! I so don;t wanna disapoint anyone hee hee. So I will go post my request and whatever else I need to do .Thanks for being so nice and for hosting this site.

Ah, gotcha. Well, who you get asked to write for and who gets asked to write for you (as they are usually two different people) depends on your request and what you're willing to write, as we match the requests so people aren't writing something they would hate to. (Because it's Christmas and it's all about the happy :)
