Date: 2008-10-30 07:51 am (UTC)Let me know if you want a discount code. I've got one set up that'll benefit both of us (though I'd have to look it up to be sure how much the benefit is).

Date: 2008-10-30 11:40 am (UTC)I haven't had problems with Dreamhost and, as noted, they're cheap. I do know they took down a whole bunch of filesharing sites a couple of years ago, but they're also who I use for my sharing, and I'm still there ::g:: Mind, I don't post links to comms, so my traffic is still fairly low.
I haven't, however, used them in conjunction with eFiction. I do know that eFiction can be quite intensive from a CPU usage point of view, and it's that as much as the bandwidth that has led to some hosts cancelling accounts that host archives. I haven't heard anything like that about Dreamhost and given the archive you're running, I can't imagine it will end up being CPU intensive, being so small.
It might be worth checking over on the eFiction.org forums to see if anyone has anything bad to say about them from an archive hosting point of view, but I haven't got any concerns.
