Someone is selling the original 'God Loves, Man Kills' graphic novel on Amazon for £79.95 and the Dark Phoenix Saga for £69.95. I'm torn between admiring his chutzpah for asking such prices and shaking my head at the thought of anyone willing to pay that kind of money for something they can get in a re-print for less than £10.

I hate smelly old comics. I know you're referring to graphic novels, but I have a point. ;-) Me, I won't even shell out money for smelly old original comics so I sure as hell wouldn't pay out seven times the price for a graphic novel. I read comics for the stories not to be some arse of a collector with my double-bagged mylar boxed Uncanny X-Men 1 or whatever.

But...if anyone wants to give me the above comic, I'd much appreciate it. :-)) I'd sell it and retire but I'd much appreciate it.

Btw, my Christmas comic rec is: Lobo's Paramilitary Christmas in which Lobo is hired by the Easter Bunny to kill Santa. A classic. *G*

Now, I love old comics. The smell of them, the feel of them. The way the character still come to live even thought the ink is faded and the paper is old.
