So, I may have mentioned that
alyse and I were off to see Ultravox in concert tonight.
They were fabulous!
Because we'd pretty much got tickets the minute they went on sale, we were in the middle of the front row. (Not the exact middle, but the next couple of seats over.) Not that the seats mattered, since we were on our feet from pretty much five minutes in.
The support band were really good, as well. It was a couple of local lads from Newcastle (who are supporting them on the entire tour, I believe), and we both bought their EP CD after the concert. (I also declared that I wanted to take the singer home and feed him a sandwich, because he was kind of adorable.)
But, anyway, Ultravox!
They didn't do Love's Great Adventure, which I would have loved them to do as it's one of my favourites, but they went from Vienna into Hymn, which made me grin like a loon.
And, dude! Midge Ure? That man is still fine ::grin::
Most definitely a fantastic night :D
