Okay, so I caved and joined kirk_mccoy ::facepalm::

I could never get away with reading TOS fic as I find William Shatner so vastly unappealing. However, throw Karl Urban into the mix and apparently I'm there like something very sticky sticking to something else very sticky.

Also, I really should do a proper update, shouldn't i?

It would be all adventures in domesticity and how Claire really should wear socks with a pair of New Rocks.

Hee! I feel exactly the same. I could not slash TOS no matter how much I wanted to. I loved Nimoy!Spock but DeForest!Bones was older and always very avuncular, and Shatner!Kirk made me want to punch him, between the acting and the arrogant sexism. (Although that may well have been the writers' fault; it was the 60's).

But NuTrek? Exactly the opposite problem: I cannot slash NuSpock because I feel he belongs to Uhura, but the rest of the cast are just so pretty. I still want to punch Kirk in the face, but more as Klingon foreplay. ;D

And, oh, Karl Urban. His picture has to be in the dictionary next to the word 'slashable' (also several other -ables, like 'lickable' and 'fuckable').

Absolutely. And I don't care if that labels me as shallow ::grin::

And yes, I adore the Spock/Uhura relationship and I really hope the writers don't screw it up in the next movie :D
